Questions
Common questions
Is my donation Zakat-eligible?
We recommend consulting a qualified Islamic scholar regarding your specific situation. Ihya Publications operates as a charity project under Cheadle Masjid. While donations to Islamic educational causes are often considered charitable in Islamic jurisprudence, the precise ruling on Zakat eligibility depends on scholarly opinion and personal circumstances.
How is the money used?
Every penny goes directly towards the production and distribution of our content. Our main costs are magazine printing and postage (~£1,200/yr), website and digital tools (~£180/yr), design software (~£120/yr), and events and outreach (~£300/yr). Ihya is run entirely by volunteers — there are no salaries or administrative overheads.
Can I donate in other ways?
If you'd like to discuss alternative ways of supporting Ihya — whether through direct bank transfer, in-kind contributions, or sponsoring a specific magazine edition — please reach out to us at ihyapublications@gmail.com. We're always open to working with those who want to support our mission.
